How to get to the national mall

Car: Parking is available at various locations along the National Mall but spots are limited, especially near the Lincoln Memorial. There is also a small parking lot off Maine Ave. SW near the Tidal Basin Boat Rentals. Those arriving by car should plan on arriving early to find a spot and be prepared to walk to the Lincoln Memorial.

Bus: Buses can drop off passengers along Ohio Avenue SW, south of Independence Ave. Buses may park and wait in this area at a rate of $2.00/hr.

Van: Parking for vans and small shuttle buses is available along Ohio Avenue SW or in the parking lot off Maine Ave SW near the Tidal Basin Boat Rentals. Rates for parking are $2.00/hr.

Metro: Due to station closures and scheduled track-work we advise taking a GREEN or YELLOW line train to Archives-Navy Memorial Station and walking from there to the Lincoln Memorial. Significant delays are expected on the red, orange, blue, and silver lines. Allow for extra time if arriving on one of these lines and use https://wmata.com/ to plan your trip. Metro begins service at 7:00 AM Saturday morning.
